Secaucus Police Urge Residents to Lock Vehicles

The Secaucus Police Department issued an alert last week urging Secaucus residents to lock their vehicles due to a series of burglaries.

Secaucus Police Advise Residents to Lock their Vehicles

On May 12, 2018, the Secaucus Police Department received numerous reports from residents that their vehicles were burglarized during the overnight hours of May 11th  into the 12th.  The burglaries occurred on Hagan Place in the “Northend” section of the Town and the residential area off of Meadowlands Parkway, referred to as the “Baker Property.”  With the exception of one the vehicles that were entered, they were all left unlocked.

Therefore, residents are asked to ensure their vehicles are locked whenever they leave them parked.  Also, it is advisable to not leave valuables (e.g. change, electronics, purses, etc.) in plain view within an unoccupied vehicle.

“All residents are asked to immediately report suspicious persons to the police department, but are advised never to approach any of these individuals. Reports can be made by calling 9-1-1 or (201) 330-2060,” Chief Flaherty said.

On May 14th at 7:24 am during a Motor Vehicle stop, a 26yo male, Jhosef Lopez-Moreno of North Bergen was arrested for 1 outstanding warrant in the amount of $550.00 from North Bergen. Mr. Lopez-Moreno posted bail, was issued 6 MV summonses (Maintenance of Lamps, Failure to Inspect, Unlicensed Driver, Driving While Suspended, Unregistered Vehicle, Uninsured Vehicle) then released.

On May 15th at 7:14am during a Motor Vehicle stop, a 26yo male, Anthony Conroy of Secaucus was arrested for Possession of CDS (Marijuana) [2C:35-10A(4)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Conroy was issued a summons and 2 MV summonses (Improper Display, Unregistered Vehicle) then released.

On May 15th at 5:19 pm a 37yo male, Johnny Taylor of Jersey City was arrested for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Taylor had not paid for fuel at the Exxon Station on Route 3 West. In addition, he had an outstanding No Bail warrant from Jersey City. Mr. Taylor was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On May 16th at 10:08 am Secaucus Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Plaza Drive on a call of a suspicious person. A 47yo female, Tammi Brodish of Hoboken was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $100.00 from Hoboken. Hoboken PD issued an R.O.R. Ms. Brodish was released without incident.

On May 16th at 3:59 pm Secaucus Police responded to a call of Shoplifting at Home Depot. A 48yo male, Frank Paterno and 53yo male, Edward Tempone both of Staten Island, NY were arrested for shoplifting merchandise and outstanding warrants. Mr. Tempone was charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B], Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(2)] and an outstanding warrant in the amount of $100.00 from Tinton Falls. Mr. Paterno was charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B], Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(2)] and an outstanding warrant from Old Bridge in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Tempone posted bail and was released. Old Bridge issued R.O.R. and Mr. Paterno was released.

On May 17th at 8:31 am during a Motor Vehicle stop, a 22yo male, Matthew Lopez of Jersey City was arrested for Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Lopez was issued a summons and 2 MV summonses (Driving While License Suspended, Driving Without License), then released.

On May 17th at 12:00 pm Secaucus Police responded to Wal-Mart on a call of Shoplifting. A 27yo female, Vesttese Tullis of Newark was arrested for Shoplifting[2C:20-11B] and 2 outstanding warrants, NCIC warrant from Hudson County Sheriff’s Office, and $100.00 from Kearny. A 57yo female, Adrienne Muhammad of Bronx, NY was arrested for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2], and 2 outstanding warrants totaling $600.00 from Linden and Newark. Both parties were processed and transported to Hudson County Jail.

On May 18th at 11:22 am Secaucus Police were dispatched to Essex County Jail to take custody of a 28yo male, Bryan Bruce of Irvington for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $500.00 from Secaucus. Mr. Bruce was transported directly to Hudson County Jail.

On May 19th at 6:37 pm while assisting Paramus PD and East Rutherford PD on a request of a stop and hold of a vehicle that left the scene of a Robbery. Secaucus Police arrested a 41yo male, Gamalier Hernandez of Union City for Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A] and 2 outstanding warrants in the amount of $154.00 from Jersey City. Mr. Hernandez was transported to Hudson County Jail.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On June 11th at 10:20 pm, during a Motor Vehicle stop a 27yo male, Jonathan Hernandez of North Bergen was arrested for Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)], Possession of Cocaine and Pills) [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C39-5D]. Mr. Hernandez was processed, issued 2 MV summonses (Maintenance of Lamps, Possession of CDS) then transported to Hudson County Jail.

On June 11th at 11:58 pm Secaucus Police were dispatched to Newark PD to take custody of a 39yo male, Thomas Cotten Jr. for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $500.00 from Secaucus. Mr. Cotton posted bail and was released without incident.

On June 12th at 4:48pm a 74yo male, Francisco Cruz was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $100.00 from Jersey City. Mr. Cruz posted bail and was released.

On June 13th at 5:33 pm, during a Motor Vehicle stop, a 21yo male, Zakhi Hocutt of Paterson was arrested for Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Hocutt was processed issued a MV summons (Safety Belt) then released.

On June 15, 2018 at 8:37 pm, a 26 yo male, Armand Payton of East Orange was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, and having an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle. After being issued his summonses he was released to a responsible adult. Jennifer Escamilla, 19 yo, of Paterson was arrested and charged with Underage Consumption of Alcohol [2C:33-15]. She was issued a summons and released.

On June 16th at 1:10 am North Bergen Police transported a 22yo female, Leeanna Soto-Barrientos of Wallington to Headquarters for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $500.00 from Secaucus. Ms. Soto-Barrientos posted bail and then released.

On June 16th at 7:03pm during a Motor Vehicle stop, a 21yo male, Jorge Orozco of Jersey City was arrested for 2 outstanding warrants totaling $650.00 from Englewood and Jersey City. Englewood PD responded to Headquarters to take custody. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On June 18, 2018 at 8:23 am during a Motor Vehicle stop, a 44yo female, Kristie Maldonado of Secaucus was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $200.00 from Secaucus. Ms. Maldonado posted bail, was issued 2 MV summonses (Driving While License Suspended, Unregistered Vehicle) then released.

On Jun 18, 2018 at 3:35 pm during a Motor Vehicle stop, a 24yo male, Rajesh Dasari of Jersey City was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $250.00 from East Newark. Mr. Dasari posted bail, was issued 2 MV summonses (Careless Driving, Unlicensed Driver) then released.

On June 19, 2018 at 11:06 am during a Motor Vehicle stop, a 26yo male, Randy Phan of Jersey City was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $100.00 from Jersey City. Mr. Phan posted bail then released.

On June 19th at 3:22 pm Secaucus Police stopped a pedestrian who was crossing County Avenue against the red Pedestrian light. A 42yo male, Steven Baekey of Secaucus was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $300.00 from Newark and Possession of CDS (Heroin) [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Baekey was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On June 21, at 6:15 pm Secaucus Police were following up on a Robbery that occurred within Walmart days earlier. A 57yo female, Blanca Menendez of Union City was arrested and charged with Robbery [2C:15-1], Conspiracy [2C:5-2] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3]. She also had 2 outstanding warrants totaling $458.00 from North Bergen, and Union City. Mrs. Menendez was processed and transported to Hudson County Jail.

On June 22, 2018 at 4:52 pm, Secaucus Police were dispatched to assist East Rutherford Police Department for an on-scene investigation of a robbery, a 25yo male, Alexis Garcia of Moonachie was arrested for an outstanding no bail warrant from North Bergen.

On June 24, 2018 at 9:00 am, Secaucus police were dispatched to Bergen County Jail to take custody of, a 40yo male, Selvio Uribe of Jersey City for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $200.00. Mr. Uribe was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On June 24, 2018 at 11:35 am, during a Motor Vehicle Stop, a 56yo male, Leoncio Crisostomo – Javier of Passaic was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Madison in the amount of $500.00. Madison issued an R.O.R., Mr. Crisostomo- Javier was issued 2 MV summonses, (Driving While DL Suspended and Suspended Registration) then released.

On June 24, 2018 at 6:31 pm, Secaucus Police were dispatched for on a call of suspicious person, a 52yo, male Timothy Firtion of Secaucus, was arrested for an outstanding NCIC warrant issued by Hudson County Sheriff, Mr. Firtion was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On June 24, 2018 at 10:01 pm, Secaucus Police were dispatched to Motor Vehicle Accident on Route 3 West, a 30yo male, Christopher Delguadio of Sussex was arrested for 4 outstanding warrants totaling $1954.00 from Kinnelon, Edgewater and Jersey City. Mr. Delguadio was released to the custody of Jersey City Police Department.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Man Arrested with TEC-9 Assault Weapon on Clarendon Street

Secaucus police arrested a Tennessee man who a TEC-9 gun inside a backpack outside a Clarendon Street home last week.

Adam Rodriguez, 20, was detained by police after a resident reporter that a family member tried to break into their home. Officers found the backpack outside the home. It contained the weapon and a large capacity magazine.

It was determined the bag belonged to Rodriguez, who was also in possession of a drug suspected to be Xanex. He was arrested and charged with possession of an assault firearm, possession of a large capacity magazine and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

 

 

Secaucus Police Blotter for the Week Ending July 1, 2018

As provided by the Secaucus Police Department:

On June 27, 2018 at 9:32 am, during a Motor Vehicle stop, a 44yo male, Alejo Burgos of Trenton was arrested for possessing over forty bags of suspected heroin and 2 outstanding warrants totaling $1,233.00 from Camden and Pennsauken. He was charged with Possession of Heroin [2C:35-10a(1)] and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Heroin [2C:35-5b(3)] Mr. Burgos was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On June 27, 2018 at 9:28 pm, Secaucus Police responded on a report of a possible stolen Honda Accord out Union City in the area off 200 Mill Creek Drive. Two Juveniles males from North Bergen were arrested to being found in possession of a stolen motor vehicle. The 17 year old male was charged with Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7] and Unlawful Taking of Means of Conveyance [2C:20-10c]. The 16 year old male charged with Unlawful Taking of Means of Conveyance [2C:20-10d]. Each was released to the custody of their parents.

On June 30, 2018 at 01:07 am, Guttenberg Police Department transported a 26yo female, Jennifer Larios of Guttenberg for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $2,500.00. Mrs. Larios was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On June 30, at 7:40 am, Secaucus Police were dispatched to Bergen County Jail to Pick a 31yo male, James George Jr. of Hackensack for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $1,000.00 from Secaucus. Mr. George was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On June 30, 2018 at 11:23 am, while on patrol, a 33yo male, Nasir Murphy of Newark was arrested for Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10a(4)], Possession of Alprazolam [2C:35-10.5e] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Murphy was taken to the Hudson County Jail.

On July 1, 2018 at 7:48 pm, Secaucus Police Department responded to Newark Police Department to take custody of a 30yo male, Omar Paterson of Jersey City for 3 outstanding warrants totaling $2,600.00 from Secaucus and Jersey City. Mr. Paterson was transported to Hudson County Jail.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

As provided by the Secaucus Police Department:

On July 9, 2018 at 10:15 am, Secaucus Police were dispatched to Essex County Correctional Facility to take custody of a 28yo male, Marquis Reynolds of Newark was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Secaucus in the amount of $200.00. Mr. Reynolds was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On July 9, 2018 at 4:20 pm, Secaucus Police were dispatched to 50 Hartz Way on a call of suspicious activity. During the investigation, a 30yo female, Latasha Napier of Newark was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Millburn in the amount of $294.00 and a 30yo female also of Newark, Sheena Cross was arrested for 4 outstanding warrants totaling $1,750.00. Both females posted bail, then released without incident.

On July 10, 2018 at 12:52 am, while on patrol, Police Officer Roderick Aninipot observed a suspicious person walking around a residential area carrying a woman’s purse. He stopped a 45yo male, Christopher Murano of Mahwah. During the encounter Mr. Murano was arrested for an outstanding warrant with a bail of in the amount of $500.00 from Paramus. Additionally, it was discovered that he burglarized two unlocked parked vehicles. He was charged with breaking into two counts of Theft of Movable Property [2C:20-3A] and Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)]. Mr. Murano was processed and transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On July 10, 2018 at 1:42 pm, Secaucus Police responded to 150 Plaza Center Road for a person inhaling a toxic chemical for purposes of intoxication. During the investigation, a 28yo male, Christopher Collins of Elizabeth was arrested for Possession and Use of a Toxic Chemical [2C:35-10.4 B (1)] and [2C:35-10. B (2)]. Mr. Collins was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On July 10, 2018 at 8:26 pm, Secaucus Police were dispatched to La Mia Cucina to investigate on a call of a dispute. During the investigation, a 29yo male, Michael Pitts of Newark was arrested for an outstanding warrant with a bail of $74.00. Bail was posted for the involved warrant and released without incident.

On July 11, 2018 at 12:15 am, Secaucus Police Department took custody of a 42yo male, Norriell Ferguson of Jersey City was arrested for 4 outstanding warrants totaling $845.00 from Secaucus and Jersey City. Mr. Ferguson was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On July 11, 2018 at 02:30 am, during a Motor Vehicle stop, a 33yo male, Luis A. Luna of Clifton was arrested for DUI. Mr. Luna was issued summonses and released to a responsible adult without incident.

On July 11, 2018 at 5:47 am, Secaucus Police Department took custody from North Bergen Department of a 31yo male, Hiram Sanon of West New York for 3 outstanding warrants totaling $2,800.00 from Secaucus, Union, and Rahway. Mr. Sanon posted bail, then released.

On July 12, 2018 at 12:15 am, during a Motor Vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested the following: A 20yo male, Frederick Castillo of Union City for Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10a(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. 18yo male, Haxner Castro of Union City for Possession of Hash Oil [2C:35-10a(4)] and 19yo, Cesar Delgado of Union City for Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10a(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. All were issued summonses and released.

On July 12, 2018 at 1:31 pm, during a follow up investigation, Secaucus Detective division arrested a 44yo female, Kristie Maldonado of Secaucus for Theft [2C:20-3] that occurred at Hudson Bread. Mrs. Maldonado was issued a summons then released.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

As provided by the Secaucus Police Department:

On July 16, 2018 at 05:28AM the Secaucus Police responded to the Sunoco Gas Station at 249 Route 3 East on a report of a dispute. During the investigation, a 29 year old male, David Chung of Rutherford, NJ was arrested for having a full extradition warrant out of NYPD. Mr. Chung was additionally charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)] and being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Mr. Chung was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On July 16, 2018 at 08:20AM, during a motor vehicle stop the Secaucus Police arrested a 38 year old male, Robert S. Green 2nd of Secaucus for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus NJ with a bail amount of $500.00. Mr. Green 2nd posted bail, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons for driving while suspended and was released from custody.

On July 16, 2018 at 10:00AM, a 30 year old male, Leroy Praylow of Union City NJ entered police headquarters and turned himself in for an open no bail warrant out of Secaucus for robbery [2C:15-1A(1)] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)] in relation to an incident that occurred on June 13, 2018. Mr. Praylow was processed and transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On July 16, 2018 at 01:40PM, the Secaucus Police responded to the Union City Police Department to take custody of a 33 year old male, Michael Pons of Union City NJ for an open warrant out of Secaucus NJ for Simple assault [2C:12-1A(1), Theft [2C:20-3a] and Theft by Unlawful taking of means of conveyance [2C:20-10b]. Mr. Pons was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On July 16, 2018 at 10:00PM, the Secaucus Police Department responded to the Watchung Police Department to take custody of a 27 year old female, Janine Jenkins of Jersey City NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus NJ for $1000.00 and 3 warrants out of Jersey City NJ totaling $350.00. Ms. Jenkins was unable to post bail and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On July 17, 2018 at 12:21AM, while on patrol the police observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of 3 Millcreek Drive. During the investigation the Secaucus Police arrested the following; a 23 year old male, Gabriel Mosso of Ridgfield Park NJ for Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)], a 19 year old male, Jakob Feliciano of Union City NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Jersey City NJ for $1000.00 and a 19 year old male, Royer Zamudio-Coral of Union City NJ for Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Mosso was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was transported to the Hudson County jail. Mr. Feliciano posted bail and was released from custody. Mr. Zamudio-Coral was issued a summons and released.

On July 17, 2018 at 05:38PM the Secaucus Police were dispatched to the Kohl’s Department Store on a report of shoplifting. A 43 year old female, Abigail Hernandez of North Bergen, NJ and a 30 year old female, Saidy Portela-Santana of West New York NJ were arrested and charged with shoplifting [2C:20-11b]. Both parties were issued their summonses and released from custody.

On July 17 at 06:38PM, the Secaucus Police were dispatched to the area of Humboldt St/Centre Ave on a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation a 56 year old male, Blaine Mauger of Secaucus NJ was arrested for Driving while Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Mauger was also issued summonses for Reckless Driving and an Open Container of Alcohol in a motor vehicle. Mr. Mauger was issued his summonses and was released to a responsible adult.

On July 18, 2018 at 02:24AM, during a motor vehicle stop for careless driving, the Secaucus Police arrested a 50 year old male, Juan Ortega of North Bergen NJ for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Ortega was issued 5 motor vehicle summonses in all and was released from custody to a responsible adult.

On July 18, 2018 at 12:45 PM the Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County Jail to take custody of a 28 year old male, Vincent Tene of Pittsburgh, PA for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus NJ in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Tene was unable to post bail and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On July 19, 2018 at 05:55PM, the Secaucus Police responded to the Burlington Coat Factory at 275 Hartz Way on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation the following individuals were taken into custody; A 33 year old female, Kimesha Speight of Philadelphia, PA for an outstanding warrant out of Township of Hamilton for $750.00 and a warrant from the Delaware State Police. Ms. Speight was further charged with being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:16-21]. A 27 year old male, Sterling Warren out of Philadelphia, PA for a warrant out of Delaware State Police. Mr. Warren was additionally charged with being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-21] along with Shoplifting [2C:20-11], Conspiracy [2C:5-2] and Burglar Tools [2C:5-5]. A 28 year old male, Vilal Jackson of Philadelphia, PA for Shoplifting [2C:20-11], Burglar Tools [2C:5-5 and Conspiracy [2C:5-2]. Both Ms. Speight and Mr. Warren were processed and transported to the Hudson County Jail. Mr. Jackson was served his summons and was released from custody.

On July 20, 2018 at 06:57PM, the Secaucus Police responded to 200 Millcreek Drive on a report of a disorderly person. During the investigation a 28 year old male, Christopher Collins of Elizabeth NJ was taken into custody for Possession of a Toxic Chemical [2C:35-10.4B(1)] and Use of a Toxic Chemical [2C:35-10.4B(2)]. Mr. Collins was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On July 22, 2018 at 09:42PM, during a motor vehicle stop for suspicious activity, the Secaucus Police arrested a 30 year old male, Jonathan Gunn of Jersey City NJ for 3 outstanding warrants. 1 warrant out of Union City NJ, no bail, 1 warrant out of South Plainfield for $818.00 and 1 warrant out of Jersey City NJ for $100.00. Mr. Gunn was further charged with Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Gunn was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

Secaucus Police Blotter for the Week Ending July 29, 2018

As provided by the Secaucus Police Department:

On Monday July 23, 2018 at 3:59PM, during a motor vehicle stop a 23 year old female, Emani Nunez of Irvington, NJ was arrested for 1 outstanding warrant out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Ms. Nunez was unable to post bail. Newark PD issued an R.O.R. and Ms. Nunez was released.

On Tuesday July 24, 2018 at 12:05PM, the Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County Jail to take custody of a 20 year old male, Teshawn S. Alexander out of Newark, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus in the amount of $200.00. Mr. Alexander was unable to post bail and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Tuesday July 24, 2018 at 9:50PM, during a follow up investigation, the Secaucus Police Detective Division arrested a 25 year old male, Jonathan Eckhardt of Secaucus NJ for Terrorist Threats [2C:12-3], Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D] and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D]. Mr. Eckhardt was served his complaint summonses and was released.

On Wednesday July 25, 2018 at 10:15PM, the Secaucus Police responded to the area of 46 Meadowland Parkway on a report of a suspicious person. During the investigation a 29 year old male, Christopher Bann of Secaucus NJ was arrested for being under the influence of CDS [2C:35-10B] and Possession of Hypodermic Needles [2C:36-6A]. Mr. Bann was served his summons and was released to the care of Hudson Regional Hospital.

On Saturday July 28, 2018 at 1:43PM, the Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of shoplifting. During the investigation a 45 year old male, Makeber Gantt of Jersey City, NJ was arrested for Shoplifting [2C:20-11], Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Hypodermic Needle) [2C:36-6A]. A 36 year old male, Kalik Eason of Jersey City, NJ was arrested for 2 outstanding warrants out of Jersey City, NJ totaling $2600.00 and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)]. A 49 year old male, Daniel Little of Jersey City, NJ was arrested for 3 outstanding warrants out of Jersey City NJ totaling $3500.00, along with Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)] and Being under the Influence of a CDS [2C:35-10B]. A 45 year old female, Zary Picart of Jersey City, NJ was arrested for 2 outstanding warrants out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $408.00, along with Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)]. A 34 year old male, Jargett Washington from Jersey City NJ was arrested for Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine [2C:35-5B(3)], Possession of Cocaine and PCP [2C:35-10A(1)] and being under the influence of CDS [2C:35-10B]. All actor’s was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Saturday July 28, 2018 at 1:58PM NJ Transit Police relinquished custody of a 33 year old male, Darnell Jones of Brooklyn, NY for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2000.00. Mr. Jones was not able to post bail and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On July 30, 2018 at 7:54PM, the Secaucus Police responded to the area of CVS at 101 Plaza Centre on a report of suspicious activity in the area. During the investigation, a 16 year old male of Secaucus, NJ was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. The juvenile was issued his summons and was released to the custody of his father.

On August 1, 2018 at 6:24PM, during a motor vehicle stop, a 38 year old female, Magdalena Perez of Newark, NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant issued out of Newark NJ in the amount of $100.00. Mrs. Perez posted bail, was issued multiple motor vehicle summonses and was released from custody.

On August 2, 2018 at 10:24AM, the Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of fraudulent activity. During the investigation a 24 year old male, Dantavius Morgan of the Bronx, NY was taken into custody for Possession of Counterfeit Currency [2C:21-1(3)]. Mr. Morgan was issued his summons and was released from custody pending a future court appearance.

On 08/09/2018 at 8:36AM, during a motor vehicle stop, a 38 year old male, Ryan Pagan of Wallington, NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Passaic, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Pagan was issued multiple motor vehicle summonses and was released from custody following an ROR by the Passaic Police Department.

On 08/09/2018 at 1:27PM, during a motor vehicle stop, a 22 year old male, Isaac Howington of Fair Lawn, NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Fair Lawn, NJ in the amount of $1084.00 along with a no bail warrant out of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Howington was issued 6 motor vehicle summonses and was transported to the Bergen County Jail.

On 08/10/2018 at 2:03AM, during a motor vehicle stop, a 31 year old female, Vanessa Marty of Union City, NJ was arrested for Hindering her own Apprehension [2C:29-3b] and 1 outstanding warrant out of Colts Neck, NJ and 3 outstanding warrants out of Newark, NJ all totaling $2,100.00. Mr. Moran was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released from custody following an ROR.

On 08/15/2018 at 10:24PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Royal Motel on a report of a welfare check. During the investigation, a 35 year old male, Stephon Womack of Irvington, NJ was arrested for 2 outstanding warrants out of Clifton, NJ totaling $2,500.00. Mr. Womack was released from custody following an ROR.

On 08/16/2018 at 6:54AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of Gail Place on a report of a suspicious person. During the investigation a 45 year old male, Samuel Tirone of Little Falls, NJ was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)], Being under the Influence of CDS [2C:35-10B], Possession of Adderall [2C:35-10E(2)] and Criminal Mischief [2C:17-3A(1)]. Mr. Tirone was also found to have a no bail warrant out of the Bergen County Sheriff Department. Mr. Tirone was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 08/17/2018 at 8:11AM, while on patrol in the parking lot of the Royal Motel, a 47 year old male, Jose Quintero of West New York, NJ was arrested for a no bail warrant from the Hudson County Sherriff’s Department. Mr. Quintero was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 08/18/2018 at 7:21AM, while on patrol, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of the Royal Motel. During the investigation, a 29 year old male, Dwayne Webb of Jersey City, NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Mr. Webb posted bail and was released from custody.

After the motor vehicle pursuit on August 3, 2018, another stolen vehicle was recovered on Hudson Avenue on that date. After a following up investigation two juvenile males, 15 & 16, both of West New York, NJ, were arrested on August 16 and 17, 2018 respectively. Both were charged with Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7] and Conspiracy to Commit Receiving Stolen property [2C:5-2/2C:20-7] and released to their parents.

On 08/27/2018 at 9:06AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Union County Jail to take custody of a 57 year old male, Darryl L. Arrington of Rahway, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,000.00 w/10%.  Mr. Arrington was unable to post bail and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 08/26/2018 at 7:29PM, Secaucus Police responded to 100 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a motor vehicle accident.  On 08/27/2018, as part of the investigation a 48 year old male, James S. McGarry of Secaucus, NJ entered headquarters and was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $200.00.  Mr. McGarry was also charged with Criminal Mischief [2C:17-3a(1)] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2] for his involvement in the motor vehicle accident.  Mr. McGarry posted bail for the warrant, was served his summons and was released from custody.

On 08/28/2018 at 4:30PM, Secaucus Police responded to Best Buy on a report of possible fraud.  During the investigation the following individuals were taken into custody; a 28 year old male, Gelicristhian Ramirez Segura of Bronx, NY and a 21 year old female, Nayeli Santana-Dominguez of Paterson, NJ were arrested for Theft of Identity [2C:21-17A(5)] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)].  Both actors were issued their summonses and released from custody.

On 08/29/2018 at 2:43PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting.  During the investigation, a 40 year old female, Bridget N. Walters was taken into custody for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Hindering her own Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] and Conspiracy to Commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2].  Ms. Walters was transported her to the Hudson County Jail.

On 06/24/2018 at 2:57PM Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a robbery in which the actor had fled the scene.  On 08/31/2018 the Secaucus Police responded to State Parole in Jersey City, NJ to take custody of a 52 year old male, Anthony Pigford of Jersey City, NJ for Conspiracy to commit Robbery [2C:5-2] in relation to the incident.  Mr. Pigford was found to have (3) outstanding warrants out of Jersey City, NJ totaling $206.00.  Mr. Pigford was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/01/2018 at 10:28AM, during a motor vehicle stop, a 46 year old female, Joesette Colclough of Jersey City, NJ was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant out of West Orange, NJ for $500.00, an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $200.00 and (2) outstanding warrants out of Jersey City, NJ for $200.00.  Ms. Colclough posted bail and was released from custody.

On 09/01/2018 at 1:14AM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious male walking on the Westbound Route 3 Bridge.  During the investigation a 47 year old male, Michael Olaskowistz of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ was arrested for (2) outstanding warrants out of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ with a bail amount of $950.00.  Mr. Olaskowistz was further charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)] and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

During the investigation, a 29 year old male, Angel Dones of Jersey City, NJ was arrested for 2 outstanding warrants out of Millburn Municipal Court totaling $1000.00 and 1 warrant out of Jersey City Municipal Court with a bail amount of $100.00. Millburn Police Department did ROR Mr. Dones and he subsequently posted bail for the warrant issued out of Jersey City and was released from custody.

On 09/03/2018 at 11:26AM, the NJ State Police transferred custody of a 37 year old male, Jean Lopez of East Newark, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,210.00. Mr. Lopez posted bail and was released from custody.

On 09/03/2018 at 1:24PM, Secaucus Police Department responded to the Walmart parking lot on a report of a dog locked inside a motor vehicle who appeared to be in distress. During the investigation, a 19 year old female, Diana Valentin of Newark, NJ was taken into custody for Animal Cruelty [4:22-17A(3)]. Ms. Valentin was issued a summons and was released from custody.

On 09/03/2018 at 11:24PM, during an investigation of a suspicious vehicle parked near the Royal Motel, the Secaucus Police arrested the following individuals; a 53 year old male, Aurelio Mallari of Jersey City, NJ was charged with Hindering by Destruction of Evidence [2C:29-3B(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Mallari was also found to have an outstanding warrant out of Jersey City, NJ for $100.00. A 48 year old male, Randy Onoya of Jersey City, NJ was charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2], Hindering by Destruction of Evidence [2C:29-3B(1)] and Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)]. A 36 year old male, Marcus Buencamino of Paramus, NJ was charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2] and Hindering by Destruction of Evidence [2C:29-3B(1)]. Mr. Mallari posted bail for the warrant, was served his summons and was released from custody. Mr. Onoya and Mr. Buencamino were served their summonses and were released from custody.

On 09/04/2018 at 9:23AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of Paterson Plank Rd and County Ave on a report of 2 individuals who had outstanding warrants. During the investigation a 29 year old male, Benjamin Woytas of Secaucus, NJ was found to have an active warrant out of Secaucus, NJ with a bail amount of $500.00. A 32 year old male, Michael Ambrosio Jr. of Secaucus, NJ was taken into custody for 3 outstanding warrants out of Jersey City, NJ with a bail amount of $2700.00. Mr. Woytas received an ROR by Secaucus Municipal Court and was released from custody. Mr. Ambrosio was transported to Jersey City Police Department where custody was turned over to the Jersey City Police.

On 09/04/2018 at 1:49PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, a 57 year old male, Jose Rodriguez of Union City, NJ was taken into custody for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. Rodriguez was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/05/2018 at 2:30PM, Secaucus Police responded to Port Logistic located at 125 Castle RD on a report of a theft. During the investigation, a 33 year old female, Bianca Vera of Jersey City, NJ was taken into custody for 2 outstanding warrants out of West NY, NJ totaling $2000.00 and 2 outstanding warrants out of Guttenberg, NJ totaling $470.00. Ms. Vera was also charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Alprazolam [2C:35-10A(1)]. Ms. Vera was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/08/2018 at 11:25PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 20 year old male, Abdallah Kayed of Clifton, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants out of Jersey City and Bernards, NJ totaling $1000.00. Mr. Kayed posted bail and was released from custody.

During the investigation, a 58 year old male, Heriberto Pagan-Montalvo of Newark, NJ was taken into custody for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. Pagan-Montalvo was served his summons and was released from custody.

On 09/11/2018 at 9:46 AM, during a motor vehicle stop in the area of 215 County Avenue, Secaucus Police arrested a 61 year old male, Johnny Mendola of Bayonne, NJ for 5 outstanding warrants totaling $2,427.00. 2 warrants were issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $1,100.00. 1 warrant was issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500.00. 1 warrant was issued out of Keport, NJ in the amount of $627.00 and 1 warrant was issued out of Hillside, NJ in the amount of $200.00. Mr. Mendola posted bail for the Secaucus warrant, was released on his own recognizance by the other involved agencies and was released from custody.

On 09/11/2018 at 6:25 PM, at Police Headquarters, Secaucus Police arrested a 36 year old male, Shane Clair of Secaucus, NJ for an outstanding warrant issued out of Monroeville, NJ in the amount of $78.00. Mr. Clair posted bail and was released from custody.

On 08/09/2018 at 11:11 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Rent the Runway located at 100 Metro Way on an activated hold-up alarm. During the investigation it was revealed that the alarm was activated due to one of the employees being assaulted prior to entering work. During a follow up investigation, a 23 year old female, Zyeama Johnson of Jersey City, NJ entered headquarters to turn herself in for outstanding warrants issued by the Secaucus Police for the incident. Ms. Johnson was charged with Robbery [2C:15-1A(3)] and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery [2C:5-2A(1)]. Ms. Johnson was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/13/2018 at 7:16 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Newark Police Department to take custody of a 30 year old female, Samantha Tene of Newark, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Ms. Tene could not post bail and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/14/2018 at 10:24 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34 year old male, Gary Cross of Roseland, NJ for Possession of Prescription Legend Drugs believed to be Xanax and Clonazepam [2C:35-10.5e(2)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)]. Mr. Cross was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/14/2018 at 4:41 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, a 58 year old male, Thomas Campbell of Jersey City, NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Randolph, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Randolph PD released Mr. Campbell on his own recognizance and he was released from police custody.

On 09/16/2018 at 12:31 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Riverside Station Blvd to take custody of a 29 year old male, Shiraz Khan of North Bergen, NJ who had a no bail warrant issued by the North Bergen Police Department. Upon arrival Mr. Khan was taken into custody and North Bergen PD subsequently responded to police headquarters to pick up Mr. Khan and transported him to their agency.

On 09/15/2018 at 4:38 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, a 40 year old male, Juan Murillo of Union City, NJ was taken into custody for shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)]. Mr. Murillo was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/15/2018 at 9:42PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 32 year old female, Victoria Trusskey of Warners, NY for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Ms. Trusskey was served her summons and was released.

On 09/16/2018 at 4:32 AM, NJ Transit Police transported a 45 year old female, Zary Picart of Jersey City, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $3000.00 and 1 warrant out of East orange, NJ in the amount of $1000.00. Ms. Picart was unable to post bail and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

Secaucus Police Nab Underwear Thief

Secaucus police arrested a man who was caught sneaking into the laundry room of his apartment building to repeatedly steal women’s underwear.

Secaucus’ Carl Jobson, 48, continually stole women’s panties from the laundry room of his Eighth Street apartment building before eventually returning them. Fellow residents eventually setup hidden cameras and caught Jobson in the act before contacting authorities.

Jobson was charged with burglary and theft on September 20.

On 09/24/2018 at 4:49 PM, during a motor vehicle stop Secaucus Police arrested a 34 year old male, Yazan Tarkhan of Clifton, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Cedar Grove, NJ in the amount of $89.00. Mr. Tarkhan posted bail and was released from custody.

On 09/26/2018 at 10:22 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Seaview Drive on a report of EMS personnel who needed assistance. During the investigation the police arrested a 47 year old male, Akbar Elston of Newark, NJ for Aggravated Assault on EMS personnel [2C:12-1B(5)(C)]. Mr. Elston was served his complaint and transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/26/2018 at 8:41 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Red Lobster at 700 Plaza Drive on a report of a possible kidnapping. During the investigation, Secaucus Police arrested the following; A 40 year old male, Brian Spruill of Irvington, NJ for 4 outstanding warrants out of Irvington, NJ totaling $863.00, along with a 41 year old female, Annette Green of Irvington, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $100.00 and she was further charged with False Public Alarm [2C:33-3B] for making the false kidnapping claim. Mr. Spruill was released by Irvington on his own recognizance and Ms. Green posted bail for the warrant, was issued her complaint summons and was released from custody.

On 09/27/2018 at 2:05 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Newark Police Department to take custody of a 22 year old female, Nicole Taveras of Newark, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $200.00. Ms. Tavares posted bail and was released from custody.

On 09/28/2018 at 2:56 AM, Secaucus Police responded on a motor vehicle accident in the area of the Candlewood Suites on Secaucus Road. During the investigation, a 21 year old male, Ritwin Reddy Kudumula of Jersey City, NJ was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Kudumula was served his summonses and was released from custody to a responsible adult.

On 09/29/2018 at 10:38 AM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Extended Stay Hotel at 1 Meadowland Parkway. During the investigation, a 45 year old male, William Adams of Fayetteville, NC was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Adams was served his complaint and released from custody.

On 09/29/2018 at 4:41 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County Jail to take custody of a 53 year old male, Marvin Billings of Newark, NJ for an outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $200.00. Mr. Billing was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

Secaucus Police Receive Federal Grant For Bulletproof Vests

The Secaucus Police Department announced Wednesday they had recently received a $6,700 federal grant towards the purchase of new bulletproof vests.

The funds will be used to update the department’s vests, which have to be replaced every five years after the warranties expire. Each vest costs $970.

Mr. Fernandez posted bail for both warrants and was released from custody.

On 10/04/2018 at 1:34 AM, the North Bergen Police Department transported a 36 year old male, Randy Suarez of West New York, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $400.00. Mr. Suarez also had 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $250.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Guttenberg, NJ in the amount of $250.00. On 10/04/2018 at 4:46 PM, Wood Ridge Police Department transported a 45 year old male, Felix Aviles of Bayonne, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants out of Secaucus, NJ for a total amount of $2,000.00. Mr. Aviles posted bail and was released from custody.

On 10/04/2018 at 9:22 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Port Authority Police Department to take custody of a 26 year old male, Vincent Thomas of Lumberton, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants out of Secaucus, NJ for a total amount of $2500.00. During the transport to the Hudson County Jail, Mr. Thomas caused damage to the rear of the police vehicle and was further charged with Criminal Mischief [2C:17-3A(1)]. Mr. Thomas was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 10/05/2018 at 1:45 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Atlantic County Jail to take custody of a 37 year old female, Sheila Justiniano of Las Vegas, NV for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ with a bail amount of $2,500.00. Ms. Justiniano was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 10/07/2018 at 1:23 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 33 year old male, Nicholas Rivera of Ridgefield, NJ for an outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department. Mr. Rivera was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 10/07/2018 at 10:57 AM, Secaucus Police responded on a report of a motor vehicle accident in the area of Humboldt Street. During the investigation the police arrested a 25 year old male, Timothy Holloway Jr. of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Under the Influence [39:4-50], Reckless Driving [39:4-96] and Being under the Influence of CDS believed to be marijuana [2C:35-10B]. Mr. Holloway was issued his summonses and was released to the custody of a responsible adult.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
