Secaucus Police Blotter for the Week Ending March 3, 2019

As provided by the Secaucus Police Department:

On 02/26/2019 at 12:58 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23 year old male, Dashawn Adams of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $7,500.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Adams was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from custody.

On 02/26/2019 at 8:33 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 45 year old male, Anthony Babik of Hoboken, NJ for an NCIC warrant out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Mr. Babik was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $260.00. Officer’s from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Babik for transport to the Hudson County Jail.

On 02/27/2019 at 8:57 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 31 year old male, Christopher Delgaudio of Sussex, NJ for an NCIC warrant out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Mr. Delgaudio was further charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2] and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, specifically metal knuckles [2C:39-3E]. Mr. Delgaudio was served his complaint warrant and custody of Mr. Delgaudio was transferred to Hudson County Correctional Officer’s and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 02/28/2019 at 12:06 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the TD Bank located at 1262 Paterson Plank Rd on a report of a possible fraud. During the investigation, the police arrested a 36 year old male, Anthony Riley of the Bronx, NY for Identity Theft [2C:21-17A(1)], Exhibiting a False Government Document [2C:21-2.1C], Possession of a False Government Document [2C:21-1.1D], Criminal Attempt [2C:5-1A(1)], Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)], Forgery [2C:21-1A(3)] and Credit Card Theft [2C:21-6C(6)]. Mr. Riley was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant out of East Rutherford, NJ in the amount of $500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant out of Weehawken, NJ in the amount of $300.00. Mr. Riley was served his complaint summons and officer’s from the East Rutherford Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Riley for transport to their authority.

On 03/1/2019 at 5:53 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County Jail to take custody of a 26 year old male, Antwan Belfield of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $300.00. Mr. Belfield was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 03/02/2019 at 8:45 AM, Secaucus Police responded to 1265 Paterson Plank Rd on a report of 2 suspicious individuals sleeping in the stairwell area of the building. During the investigation, the police arrested a 23 year old male, Jonathan Castillo of Lyndhurst, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant out of Kearny, NJ in the amount of $600.00. Mr. Castillo was further charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Castillo was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 03/02/2019 at 4:21 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 42 year old male, Edwin Declet of the Bronx, NY for 1 outstanding warrant out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Declet was further charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. A 40 year old female, Elica Pelaez of the Bronx, NY was also arrested and charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. Declet was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued his complaint summons and was released from custody. Ms. Pelaez was issued her complaint summons and was released from custody.

On 03/03/3019 at 10:43 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24 year old male, Rudys Fermin-Santana of Hawthorne, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Fermin-Santana was also issued 2 motor vehicle summonses. Mr. Fermin-Santana was issued his complaint summons and was released from custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
